In itself, my plan was to slim down the Curve Tracer a bit and adapt it the way I would like it for myself. I originally also looked at the ELV KS-7000 and also had the idea with the BCD counter to make the step generator adjustable :) My thought was to build slide-ins for a subrack like a main Power supply unit, a CurveTracer, ... and arbitrarily expandable with more plug-in modules. That's why I ask, since I am time-bound to implement this project :)Alexnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057630065429233264.post-83873813207945648312022-05-03T10:00:26.607+02:002022-05-03T10:00:26.607+02:00Hi Alex, this is a function of the conversion proc...Hi Alex, this is a function of the conversion process from PDF to PNG to get it on this Blog. What we don't want is to have various versions out there that are not under our control until we are really done. What we also don't want is an outfit that could take this and offer a commercial product without our consent.<br />As a minimum, we will provide the Gerber files, schematics in PDF form, and the BOM's such that the CT can be built by others. As you will have seen from an earlier comment, we will be asking PCB houses to offer the boards as a set, instead of 5 of each. We're catering to engineers that should know what they are doing. The high voltage warning is there in case they forget what the voltage is. Designing a cover is beyond our project, but can certainly be done when a PCB that taps into the 6 2mm Banana plugs is designed with that cover on it. Re safety, something else to consider: Some products have a clear plastic cover with a microswitch or reedswitch to that senses that the cover it closed. The cover encloses the DUT. When voltage is high, the test won't start unless the cover is closed. Also good to do for high currents, since I've had a few devices blow up on me, with projectile particles :-)<br />Regards, Rich S.Rich Sulinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07857314988180139899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057630065429233264.post-36132608311710766942021-08-23T10:04:16.692+02:002021-08-23T10:04:16.692+02:00Just some house-keeping information.
